Spacious Federal rooms combine period antiques and reproductions with sophisticated floral linens and soothing color palettes. A welcoming seating arrangement provides an area to relax in the room. The cozy, charming guest rooms are brightly decorated in floral and jacquards. White woodwork and hardwood floors provide charming details. About 1/3 less space than the Federal Rooms, there are smaller seating areas and private baths with showers. Additional amenities include clock radios and deluxe bath amenities.

Located across the street from the Main Inn in newer buildings abutting the harbor, our Wharfside rooms and family suites are on the second and third floors above a grouping of shops at the Port Walk. This building is more modern in architecture and style than the main inn, reflecting a more casual alternative to the historic style of the inn.

Capturing the spirit of a Maine beach cottage style, Wharfside rooms are decorated in soothing seaside colors that create a fun and casual ambiance. More modern in architecture and style than the rooms in the Main inn these rooms feature hardwood floors and white bead board furniture. Parking is available at the Wharfside.

For extended stays or large parties, a Wharfside Family Suite is large and spacious with standard rental style furnishings, large living rooms with sleeper sofas, kitchen facilities, and a private bath. Ideal for weekly rental, the Wharfside Family Suite is your opportunity for a relaxing vacation in spacious accommodations perfect for families.

Two Bedroom Suite with Pull out Sofa and Porch

This suite offers two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, the other with a double bed and a pull out sofa in the living room area and a single bathroom. The kitchen provides minimal cooking facilities.

Three Bedroom Suite

This suite offers three bedrooms, each with a double bed, a living room/dining room combination and a single bathroom. The living area offers a wet bar.

Hotel Information

There is a $25 charge for a third person in a room. We also offer a number of special two, three, and four-night packages. Christmas Prelude and holiday periods have higher rates.

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. A deposit equal to 50% of the entire stay is required on all reservations. Deposits must be received within seven business days. Credit card numbers are accepted for advance deposits; however, please note that your credit card will be charged at the time the reservation is made. All deposits are applied to the last night of a reservation.

• Check-in time is after 3:00 p.m. (earlier if the room is available). Check-out time is prior to 11 a.m.
• Our inn, including all rooms, dining rooms and One Dock are smoke free.
• Directions to the Inn: Take the Maine Turnpike to Exit 19 [formally Exit 2] (Wells). Turn left at light after exiting toll booth and follow to Route 1. Turn left at traffic light at the intersection of Route 1, heading north on Route 1. Follow two miles and turn right onto Route 9. Continue for six miles. After crossing bridge, you will enter Dock Square. The Inn is straight ahead on the left, about a block away. You should see the sign on the left. Turn left into the driveway. Welcome! Deposit Policy

We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. For a multiple night stay or package, a deposit of half of the total charge is due at the time of booking. For a one night stay, the full amount is due as a deposit at the time of booking. Please note that your credit card will be charged at the time the reservation is made.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations are subject to a $25 processing fee if cancellation is 14 or more days prior to the arrival date. If cancellation is within 14 days of the arrival date, we will retain your full deposit.
